What we offer
Beyond Balance offers Equine assisted activities in an inclusive supportive environment. We also educate the community and volunteers about how the horse can benefit individuals with disabilities and the wellness of the community.
Mounted Activities:
Mounted activities are when the participant is on the horse. During the riding class the participant will learn how to prepare the horse to be ridden and learn riding skills while on top of the horse.
Ground Lessons:
Ground lessons are offered to participants whom riding might not be appropriate. Some reasons a participant might not be able to ride at first might be, behavioral, certain types of physical disabilities, physical restrictions, or fear. For this we teach horsemanship skills and promote bonding with the animal.
Community Outreach:
Beyond Balance strives to help and educate the community about therapeutic riding and the benefits. We will visit any groups or facilities that want to learn about equine assisted activities.
